## Description

This is the plain, useful end of shoe storage. A black steel frame, five shelves of non-woven fabric stretched between the tubes, and no doors, covers or hardware to think about.

It stands 37.8 inches tall on a 23.6 by 11 inch footprint, with 6.7 inches between tiers. That is the right height for flats, trainers and low boots, and the wrong height for anything tall, which is where the next part matters.

Leave one tier out during assembly and the gap becomes 12.6 inches. That is enough for knee boots or riding boots standing upright, and you still have four shelves for everything else. It is the same rack, configured differently, rather than a compromise.

Each tier runs on four steel tubes with the ferrules seated inside the joint rather than clamped on the outside, which is what stops a tube working loose over time. The whole thing pushes together by hand: no tools, no fixings, no instructions to lose.
