Most mattress listings give you one thickness and call it a day. This one runs from 5 in to 14 in in the same construction, which is the useful part, because the right answer genuinely differs. A 5 or 6 in is a bunk, a daybed, a trundle or a guest room that gets used twice a year. An 8 or 10 in is a real everyday bed. A 12 or 14 in is a main bedroom where you want the sink of a deep comfort layer. The build is two layers: gel-infused memory foam on top, over a high-density base foam that does the supporting. The gel is there to move heat out of the comfort layer, which is where memory foam usually traps it. Firmness is medium, the setting that works across back, side and front sleepers rather than committing to one. The cover is white knit with a fine diamond quilt and rounded edges. It unzips and goes in the machine, which matters more than it sounds on a foam mattress, because the foam itself never can. It arrives rolled and boxed. Get the box into the room before you open it, cut the wrap, unroll it and give it up to 72 hours to reach full height. Do not judge the feel on night one. One thing to read before buying, and we would rather put it here than in small print at the bottom: this product carries a California Proposition 65 warning naming DEHP, a phthalate listed by the State of California as a carcinogen and a reproductive toxicant. The full wording is in the specifications below. It is a mattress you will sleep on nightly, so make that call with the information in front of you. The foam is listed as CertiPUR-US certified; we have not seen the certificate. The maker publishes footprint dimensions for the Twin at 39 × 75 in and the Full at 54 × 75 in; it does not publish figures for the Queen and King, so we are not quoting any.
